Do you ever feel like this?
Struggling to cope with relationship problems
Having a hard time coping with your or your child’s illness
Isolated and struggling to make friends
Suffering with depression and finding it hard to talk to anyone
Overwhelmed by the loss of a loved one
Tired, unhappy, exhausted
We can help
If you are expecting or bringing up a child under 5 then we can help. We support over 80 young families a year across Angus through our Home-Start volunteers. Our volunteers are all parents themselves – so they know what you are going through. They will visit you in your own home, usually once a week. You decide what you will do together.
You may feel that you need more “task focused” help such as support to put advice you have been given about parenting in place. We can help you in the home with this through visits from our family support worker.
If you feel meeting other parents and children in a safe environment would help you feel less isolated you could come along to one of our groups.
All you have to do is ask
If you think we could help, why not find out more? Talk to your midwife or health visitor or contact us yourself through our contact page.
What happens next?
After asking for our support a member of our staff team will meet with you to discuss linking you with either our home visiting service and/or one of our groups.
